We
supply 2 types of trailer for the Smart 450 and 451.
Both
are 12ft overall length with an 8ft long bed, the overall
width is 6ft 11" but the bed width on the XCountry
is 5ft 5" as opposed to 5ft 10" on the Brooklands.
The
XCountry has lift out and clip on ramps that are stored
in the middle of the trailer between the beds and under
the cars rear axle.
The
Brooklands has slide out ramps which are housed under
the beds and is slightly more expensive than the XCountry
with its lift out and clip on ramps so we would ask,
if you are comparing prices, that you compare like with
like as not all manufacturers can offer you easy slide
out ramps.
Aside
from this both trailers are substantially the same with
Al-Ko Kober axle and hitch and 13" wheels. They
come complete as fully braked with jockey wheel, spare
wheel, jack stands, wheel chocks and full EU lighting
built in. These Smart trailers have the axle set slightly
towards the back so as to balance a forward loaded rear
engined car to give approx 60 to 70 kilogram nose weight
for safe, easy and legal towing without snaking!
