We Tow Any Car

This letter is for those motorhomers who are considering a small car to tow behind their motorhome.

I have just purchased a Smart car to do just that,and very soon had the problem of a suitable trailer to transport it. Well, after much debating and searching the magazines I chose a Smart Trailer from Smart Trailers at Storrington West Sussex. I also purchased the option of four straps to hold the car down safely. I recently had my first trip out towing the trailer with the car on, and must say was very pleased with the balance of the whole set up.

The car can be driven on forwards and the nose weight is perfect. I live in Southern Spain and collected this trailer from Alan Manton proprieter at Calais, he very kindly ferried it over to me from his works in England.

Been thinking of ways to get my smart away, A-frames, two wheel trailers, but the Smart Trailer is the best and, I felt, the safest way.

I was worried about towing it but it follows the van perfectly. It's so well designed.

Having decided at short notice to take up a friends offer to spend time in Spain at their place, I realised that using my A-Frame to tow the Smart through France and Spain was potentially an issue with the local police and their interpretation of the legality of its use.
